We are so excited to be offering this one through our seed shop! The Kiwano melon or African Horned Cucumber, or Jellymelon is an extremely unique tropical fruit known for its extra spiky rind. These cucumber relatives start off green and taste like a citrusy cucumber, but turn a dark orange when ripe. once ready to harvest, the flesh is like green jello and the taste resembles a sweet/sour banana-lime-cucumber tropical taste! These are perfect for smoothies, and offers a sweet treat when topped with sugar and eaten raw!

We recommend trellising as the productive vines can grow up to 10ft tall!

These fruits are very rare in most places, and if your lucky enough to find one of these in a store, they go for as much as $10 a piece! Native to Africa and easy enough to grow anywhere that regular melons can be grown!
